Shared Agent Skills are reusable, task-specific packages of instructions, scripts, and reference material that agents load when relevant. They make engineering workflows, standards, and domain knowledge reusable across AI-assisted development.
We use the Claude Code plugin marketplace to distribute broadly useful skills across Productboard, while repository-specific skills stay with the code they support. Marketplaces and repositories are distribution mechanisms for the adopted practice of sharing reviewed, versioned agent workflows.
